Electronic sports competitions – that is professional players or teams in organized, multiplayer video game competitions – is a growing industry. Bayes Esports provides live data from such tournaments to consumers, media outlets, licensed betting operators, and digital service providers – including Google. Last year this Berlin company raised €10 M. Now Bayes Esports has just revealed that Bitkraft VC and others have invested €6 M in a new funding round, as Focus Gaming News reports. Bayes wants to become a licensed betting supplier. With the fresh money Bayes CEO Martin Dachselt intends to expand in the US. He commented, “We were looking for strategic investors who would work with us to professionalize the esports industry. Strong shareholders and sustainable growth are the basic requirements for an open ecosystem.”
