Deutsche Bank buys Better Payment
In FinTech, you’re old at eight. White label transaction facilitator Better Payment was founded in Berlin in 2013 by Björn Bähre. Now, as Finanz-Szene and Gründerszene report, Germany’s biggest financial player, Deutsche Bank, has bought up the payment service provider for an undisclosed sum. Presumably the bank intends to help its SME clients not only with loans but by providing an easy to implement payment gateway to help them receive sums directly onto their (DB) bank account via payment options such as direct debit, credit card, or PayPal. Furthermore, Better Payment customers could be offered banking services too.
