Dubai’s Gitex Event Coming to Berlin

Gitex Europe is to be one of Europe’s most important events for tech and startups and will take place in Berlin, it has been announced. Gitex global in Dubai is probably the world’s largest tech trade fair. In May 2025 their European spin-off will open in Berlin on the exhibition grounds. The event revolves around tech investment and finding new market opportunities in “the $3 trillion valued European tech industry”. “Berlin and GITEX are a perfect match. We are united in our vision of connecting the global community of innovators and we share the passion for pioneering new technologies,” says Vice Mayor of Berlin and State Senator for Economic Affairs Franziska Giffey, and adds, “The heart of the startup community beats in Berlin, where people have their finger on the pulse of future technologies.” Meanwhile Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International, the subsidiary of Dubai World Trade Center organizing Gitex, speaks of “the race for digital supremacy and excellence”. Expect FinTech, AI, quantum technology and all the other trends to be well represented in the show organized by the Dubai World Trade Center in cooperation with Messe Berlin. Dirk Hoffmann, COO of Messe Berlin, says, “With our new fintech festival FIBE, the digital health trade fair DMEA or the Smart Country Convention … we focus on individual industries and key areas. Gitex Europe, on the other hand, offers a platform for all digitalization topics – from AI, metaverse, blockchain to cybersecurity and telecommunications to climate tech and future mobility.”
