Micropsi closes deal worth $30 M

In 2014 Ronnie Vuine, Priska Herger and Dominik Welland founded Micropsi Industries, which develops MIRAI, an AI software that controls robots used in industry. A huge advantage is in the implementation, because you don’t need programmers or AI knowledge to train a robot with MIRAI inside. Instead, a human repeatedly demonstrates a monotonous task, manually guiding the robot by its ‘wrist’. The robot learns what to do directly on site and reacts to real-time conditions in the workspace through cameras and sensors. Among the benefits are more productive production plants. Deutsche-Startups reports that Micropsi has just closed a deal worth $30 M. The backing from various funds including Project A Ventures “will be used for expansion in the U.S., ramping up sales activities and developing further robotic platforms.”
