Founded in 2017 by Johannes Roggendorf and Timo Fischer, Medwing has just taken on €44M from investors old and new in a series C round, as techcrunch reports. The job platform matches employers such as hospitals, clinics and rest homes with job seeking nurses, caregivers for the elderly, pharmacists, midwives, doctors, and similar professionals. Next to working directly with major healthcare clients such as Berlin university hospital Charité, the platform has job listings from over 5000 employers in Germany and the UK. For the moment, the new money is not to be used to add countries to the list, but to reach profitability. Medwing’s self-proclaimed USP is the focus on both permanent and temporary jobs. It also specifically helps candidates from abroad.
