Sequoia Backs Tourlane's Global Travel Vision

Berlin-based travel technology startup Tourlane has secured €25 million in Series D funding, according to an article from EU-Startups, signaling strong momentum in the personalized travel sector. The round, led by Sequoia Capital and joined by Target Global, HV Capital, and Qualtrics co-founder Jared Smith, will fuel the company's international expansion and AI development.

Founded in 2016, Tourlane specializes in creating AI-powered, customized multi-stop travel experiences. The platform enables travelers to design unique journeys across over 40 global destinations, leveraging artificial intelligence to provide tailored recommendations and exceptional customer support.

CEO Julian Weselek emphasized the company's commitment to innovation, stating their goal is to continue investing in AI and international growth. Sequoia Capital's partner Andrew Reed highlighted the transformative potential of AI in travel, predicting Tourlane will "delight millions of travelers" in the coming years.

The startup has demonstrated impressive performance, achieving double-digit growth and increasing customer loyalty. With over 100,000 travelers served and a focus on digital efficiency, Tourlane is positioning itself as a leader in data-driven, sustainable travel solutions.
