Tasty Deal: €50 M for Direct-to-Consumer Food KoRo
In 2014 Constantinos Calios and Piran Asci set out to disrupt food supply chains. With bulk packages and a direct-to-consumer (D2C) strategy, KoRo aims to deliver mostly organic food at fair prices. By 2021, KoRo was selling 1250 products in 16 countries across Europe, including Austria, France, Germany, Spain, and the U.K. Now the Berlin-based company has received a €50 M boost to enter more markets with more items, as tech.eu reports. Among the investors are HV Capital, who also backed Delivery Hero and Hello Fresh.
